Zion National Park will wrap up its fall shuttle service on November 30, and private vehicles will be able to access the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive from December 1 until December 22.
Starting December 23, Zion will offer its holiday shuttle service until January 3. During these 12 days, private vehicles will not be able to access Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. After the holiday shuttle service ends, private vehicles will once again be able to access Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, though when parking in Zion Canyon is full, the NPS may temporarily close the road.
The shuttle service is scheduled to begin again in spring of 2026.
Officials at Zion have noted that parking fills early year-round at the park, so anyone visiting with a private vehicle should be prepared for traffic. In general, fewer people visit Zion on weekdays than weekends, and visitors should consider arriving early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the busiest times of day.
