The National Park Service has closed the entire Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio from Botzum Trailhead in Cuyahoga Falls to Lock 39 Trailhead in Valley View due to flooding.
Visitors were strongly advised to stay off of all park trails Sunday. Rangers and trail maintenance crews were working to assess the damage. Trails can be extremely dangerous due to unseen damage from high water.
You are asked to respect all park closures for the safety of visitors, resources, and park staff. Rangers closed the parking lots at Lock 29 in Peninsula and Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Rockside boarding station on Saturday due to imminent flooding.
