Reader Participation Day: What Are You Thankful For This Year In Terms Of National Parks?

Share

Might your Thanksgiving reflections include gratitude for something connected with national parks? Photo by ccho via Creative Commons and flickr.

Our national Thanksgiving holiday has evolved to include a host of traditions, including gatherings with family and friends, favorite dining delights, gridiron rivalries and Black Friday shopping. Even so, for many of us, it's also still a time to pause at least briefly and count our blessings.

In that spirit, is there something connected with our national parks that you're thankful for this year?

Perhaps it's something as broad as gratitude that we even have national parks, or as specific as a favorite park or park-related experience.

What do you think?

Thankful that I was able to cross rafting through the Grand Canyon National Park off my bucket list. Thankful that I was able to enjoy two new Parks this summer and most inportantly, thankful for my beautiful wife who loves the Parks and loves to travel.
