Video: Birds and Bike Paths in Grand Teton National Park

How might the construction of multi-use paths in Grand Teton National Park affect the park's wildlife?

It was big news when the decision was announced to install some bike paths in Grand Teton National Park. But how might those affect ground-nesting birds and other park wildlife?

The folks at Assignment Earth looked into that question and produced the following video.

I drove through Grand Teton on the way to Yellowstone this summer. I was absolutely appalled by the amount of ground disturbance that was being caused by the construction of this bike trail. I cannot believe that NPCA was the principal supporter of this project since it is an organization that is supposed to protect parks, not develop them. I don't get it.
